Campsites are broken into three basic categories.  There is public campgrounds which are state owned and free to camp on lands.  There are government parks which is state or nationally owned lands that have campgrounds and typically rangers onsite to assist.  And there are private campgrounds which can vary from KOA type companies that create a campground with some cabins, some tent sites, some RV sites to people who own some land and charge for people to set up shop and camp there.

The vision is to catalogue campgrounds from all over the United States here, but since we are from Texas, we are starting with the lone star state.
